Fine cotton fabric printed with delicately hand engraved wooden blocks using  vegetable dyes. Ajrakh a synergy between handloom textiles and vegetable dyes that creates magic. Ajrakh printing, using natural dyes is one of the oldest techniques of resist printing in India and is one of the most complex and sophisticated methods of printing. It is said that the word could have come from “aaj rakh” (keep it for the day) The longer the wait between each process, the finer the result.

The word ‘mushroo’ is derived from the Arabic that restrains luxury in their lifestyle. It is a warp face satin fabric composed of slik and cotton. The famous himroo and mushroo fabrics of Hyderabad are splendid examples of mixed fabric (cotton and silk). It is celebration of its lost glory, two centuries after it has become antiquated.
